Conditions and perspectives make us strong

There was once a big frog who was very egoistic about his huge size and immense strength. He used to consider himself as the king of the pond and used to order the relatively small frogs to follow whatever he said.

One day a small frog who had taken birth only a few days ago, approached him, told him about his misdeeds and asked him to be a little gentle with the other frogs.

Instead of listening to him, he kicked the smaller frog and declared that if anybody else tries to defy him, then he will also suffer the same.

Nobody stood against him out of fear except the small frog who would daily get beaten up by the big frog for not following his orders.

He used to daily approach him and explain him that everyone is big and strong according to a particular condition and perspective and would daily get beaten up for it.

One day it was raining like cats and dogs. It rained continuously for about a week due to which the water level of the pond rose due to which it intermingled with one of the tributary of the river.

As soon as that happened, some creatures from the river started to flow towards the pond. The creatures ranged from small fishes to large snakes.

As soon as the snakes came in, every frog ran inside the thin pipes which provided water to fill the pond due to their small size and thus escaped from being eaten up by the snakes except for the big frog who couldn’t fit inside the pipe due to his large size.

All the frogs were delighted that the big frog will be eaten up by the snakes and thereafter they will not have to bear his orders and cruelty.

Suddenly the small frog who was regularly beaten up by the big frog came out of the pipe and asked the big frog to follow him.

He took him deep inside the pond where there was a larger pipe enough for the big frog to fit in but small enough to block the snakes.

All the frogs kept hidden inside those pipes for a week till the rains subsided. Within a day, the water level were back to normal and the temporary connection between the pond and the river ceased.

Everybody came out rejoicing on the fact that the big frog would have been eaten up by the snakes but simultaneously lamented on loosing the small frog who was dear to all.

Suddenly the small frog popped out of the water and everybody began cheering until they saw the big frog who popped from below him.

As soon as they saw him, they began to run out of fear. The small frog called them out and they all gathered around both of them.

The big frog finally bowed down infront of all the other frogs and asked them to forgive him.

He said that he has learned that nobody is absolutely strong rather its different conditions and perspectives that make us strong.

He thanked the small frog because it was him who taught him this lesson.

Thus for ever after, the big frog used his strength, might and power to help the other frogs instead of harrasing and frightening them.

We must always remember that nobody is absolutely strong, rather its different conditions and perspectives that make us strong.
