Once the angels and the demons had a gruesome war. Thousands of years passed but it did not reach any conclusion.
Later on they went to God to let him decide who the winner is.
After reaching God’s abode, they asked him to be just and declare who would rule the heavens amongst the two clans.
God asked the reason for their quarrel and the leaders of both the clans replied that both of them have equal rights to rule the heaven but they are unable to decide due to the unending war.
God immediately accepted that he would choose the best one amongst them but for that he would have to take a test.
He gave wings to the demons as the angels already had them and spawned a bird. He further announced that the one who would catch it first would be declared as the winner.
Both the angels and the demons chased the bird. Although both had a pair of wings, the angels caught it first as they knew how to fly whereas it was a completely new experience for the demons and hence they failed.
The angels marched truimphantly towards God and asked for the heaven but the demons objected that it was not a fair test as they did not know how to fly.
The God accepted their plea and examined them once again.
This time he summoned a mouse and gave sharp claws and a tail to the angels as the demons already had both of them and announced that the one who would catch it first would be declared as the winner.
Both the angels and demons chased the mouse. The mouse ran very fast and changed its direction simultaneously. The sharp claws allowed the angels and demons to have a strong grip on the ground while the tail allowed them to change their direction maintaining their speed.
Although both had sharp claws and tail, the demons caught it first because they knew how to make use of the claws to run fast and the tail to change their direction simultaneously.
Thus the demons marched victoriously towards God and asked him to provide them the heaven but the angels objected that it was not a fair test as they did not know how to use the sharp claws and the tail.
God told that each of them have been blessed with their own strengths and weaknesses. Instead of competing they must respect each others because of their unique skills and must bring them into use for mutual benefit.
He further told that no two people are the same therefore they must break free from all bonds and must not seek equality but liberty.
Both the angels and the demons united and worked for mutual prosperity by shunning the concept of equality and praising universal brotherhood and liberty.
