Once upon a time there was a boy who was born with two heads. Everyone was scared to see him and abhorred him. After some days, people in the village gathered and held a meeting to decide the fate of the baby boy.
After elaborate discussions, the head of the village announced that the baby’s parents had to abandon their child. Both his parents pleaded and begged infront of the village council and the leader but they refused to accept their plea. Upset and letdown by their own community, they abandoned that village and went to the neighbouring one.
The people in the new village thought every living being to be the creation of God and they didn’t distinguish people on the basis of caste, creed, colour, gender and appearance. All of them lived happily with each other.
Thus the baby boy was not mocked upon for his extra head and was accepted by the society with open hands. He enjoyed all rights and was granted equal opportunity to grow like his peer group. Days passed on and the two-headed boy grew up to be a well-educated civil servant in the village administration. He laid extra emphasis on the progress of differently abled children and helped them to progress in their life without facing any difficulties. Seeing his utmost dedication towards his official work as well as his inherent desire to help the poor and the needy to overcome their challenges, the village council unanimously decided to declare him as the village head in the upcoming ‘All Village Meet’ that happened after every five years.
In the ‘All Village Meet’, people and the chiefs of all the villages met each other to discuss about their progress and to declare their new chiefs.
Finally the day arrived and people across all the villages were keen to see their new chiefs. When the two-headed boy was called on the dais and declared as the head of his village, the people of the village where he was born were not able to believe what they saw. All of them thought that the two headed boy along with his parents would have been rejected by every village and thus would have not been able to survive this long.
Finally all of them along with their chief left the scenario in utter shame.
MORAL: EACH AND EVERY CHILD IF GIVEN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CAN DO WONDERS.
