Once there was a formidable football team with Abish as its captain. All the team members rigorously trained every day from morning to evening. They ran 20 kilometers a day to increase their stamina, practiced their kicks and improved their skills to defend goals.
After months of practice, they finally participated in the football world tournament. They were so well-trained that they knew how to tackle every attack and had a strategy built to give a befitting reply to their competitors even under unpredictable circumstances. Due to their rigorous training and well thought off strategy, they could defeat all their competitors and reached the finals.
They grew overconfident of their continuous victories due to which neither did they practice for the final match nor did they device a winning strategy. After waiting for a week, the day for the final match arrived and without any practice and sound strategy, they went to play the game.
In the first hour itself, they scored 5 goals and the opposing team scored nil after which they did not take the match seriously which later proved to be their biggest mistake. The opposition team geared up and scored 5 points one after the other.
The match continued for a minute after which it ended in a draw. The referee announced a penalty kick shootout where each team would be awarded 5 kicks and whoever would score a goal would win the match. Abish’s team grew anxious and worrisome about the result of the match. The perturbation took their better half due to which they were not able to score even a single goal. The opposing team took the advantage and scored a goal in their last attempt and won the world tournament.
MORAL: NEVER LEAVE THE GAME UNTIL YOU WIN IT COMPLETELY.
